Overview

Loadlight helps groups capture, assign, nudge, and finish shared todos. To make that work, we process account information, profile details, group membership, task content, voice transcripts you choose to submit, and notification tokens when nudges are enabled.

We do not sell your personal information, and Loadlight is not built around third-party ad tracking. We do not use your data for tracking across other apps or websites, and we do not allow our service providers to do so on our behalf.

Information We Collect

Account and profile information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, user ID, display name, and profile settings. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth; we never see or store your password directly.

Group and todo content

We store the groups you create or join, invite codes, group memberships, task titles, task notes, subtasks, assignees, due dates, categories, effort estimates, completion status, nudge status, and related timestamps.

Voice and AI processing data

If you use voice capture, your device may convert speech to text using platform speech-recognition services. Loadlight can send the resulting transcript to our Supabase Edge Functions and Anthropic so the app can split messy speech into structured todos or subtasks. Anthropic processes transcripts on our behalf via its API and does not use them to train its AI models, per its API terms. We do not intentionally store raw audio in Loadlight.

Notifications and device data

If you enable nudges, we collect an Expo push token, device platform, and update timestamps so we can deliver notifications to the right device. We may also receive basic technical data such as logs, errors, IP address, browser or device type, and hosting diagnostics.

Product analytics

When you use Loadlight, we record product analytics events (for example, signup, group created or joined, todos created or completed, and voice capture used) through PostHog so we can measure aggregate retention and improve the app. These events are linked to your user ID. We do not use them for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Apple Reminders sync

If you enable Apple Reminders sync, Loadlight can write the todos assigned to you into a dedicated Loadlight list in Apple Reminders on your device so they are visible alongside your other reminders.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and secure your account.
• Sync todos, subtasks, groups, and assignments across devices.
• Show real-time updates to members of the same group.
• Parse voice transcripts into editable task suggestions.
• Send nudges and in-app alerts.
• Measure aggregate retention and feature usage to improve the app.
• Provide support, troubleshoot bugs, and protect the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

How Information Is Shared

Group content is shared with members of the group it belongs to. That means other group members may see your display name, tasks you create, tasks assigned to you, subtasks, notes, completion status, nudges, and related activity.

We also use service providers to run Loadlight, including Supabase for authentication, database, realtime sync, and serverless functions; Expo for push-notification delivery; Anthropic for AI task parsing; PostHog for product analytics (events such as signups, todos created, and feature usage, linked to your user ID to compute aggregate retention); Apple and Google platform services; and Vercel for this website. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Some of our service providers, including Supabase, Anthropic, and PostHog, are based in the United States. By using Loadlight, you consent to your information being processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our providers operate.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or Loadlight, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Your Choices

• You can edit your display name in app settings.
• You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• You can choose whether to use voice capture.
• You can review AI-generated todos before adding them.
• You can leave groups or delete your account in the app.

Account Deletion and Retention

You can delete your account from the Loadlight settings screen. Deleting your account removes your login, profile, memberships, and todos that you created or that were assigned to you. Groups with other members may remain so the remaining group can continue using Loadlight.

We keep account and service data for as long as needed to provide Loadlight, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. After you delete your account, residual data in our database backups is purged within 30 days, and security or abuse-prevention logs are retained for up to 90 days.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authentication, database access rules, and provider security controls. No internet service is perfectly secure, so please avoid putting highly sensitive information into todos or voice transcripts.

Children and Family Use

Loadlight is a general-audience app that families may use together. It is not specifically directed to children under 13. Children and teens should use Loadlight with permission from a parent or guardian when required by local law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Loadlight without appropriate permission, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to review and delete it.

Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. You can make a request by emailing hello@loadlight.app.

California residents

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@loadlight.app.

Changes

We may update this policy as Loadlight changes. If the changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page, changing the date above, or notifying users in the app.
